Presentation of the training
The 3rd year of Public Administration Bachelor program - specializing in public management provides management courses in continuity with the Bachelor 2 in the cire subjects of management: finance-accounting, human resources, marketing-communication. In addition, new subjects applied to the public sector are taught (strategy, management control, information systems) in addition to subjects offering both a more global and sectoral vision of contemporary public management.
The third year of the Bachelor's degree allows a deeper understanding of management tools in a French and international public context and a discovery of the sectors of activity that prepares the student for the Master’s Degree orientation.
The general objective of the Public Administration Degree is to offer a progressive acquisition of multidisciplinary knowledge in the field of law, economics and management, extended to human sciences, information and communication sciences and applied to the context of a changing public sector.
Work-study option: in parallel to the classic rhythm of initial training, the 3rd year of the Public Management course is open to a work-study rhythm. In this case, students continue their course at an average rate of one week of teaching and three weeks of professional development within the host structures. The latter take part in missions of service to the public and the development of territories, whether they are companies, administrations, local authorities, non-for-profit organizations, or mixed organizations.

Continuation of studies
Students can continue their studies in the various Masters in Law-Economy-Economy-Management, in particular those offered at the IMPGT :
- Master 1 - Public Management
- Master 1 - Management and Law of Organizations and Cultural Events
- Master 1 - Management of health and social institutions
or continuation in Business School, preparation for the Administration's competitions requiring the bachelor level.
The targeted professions are those of the main administrative competitive entry exams at bachelor level (State, territorial and hospital civil service) and more broadly those of the public sector, as well as the professions of the private sector related to the latter in the fields of law, management, information, communication and media.
Access to this course is open to students who have completed the first four semesters of a bachelor degree in the field of law-economy-administration such as those who have completed the first two years of the bachelor degree in Public Administration-Public Management Course (IMPGT) or equivalent diplomas (preparatory classes, BTS and DUT...).
Access is also possible through the Validation of Acquired Experience. A V.A.P (Validation of Professional Experience) or V.E.S (Validation of Higher Education) procedure can enable students to enter the third year.
If my years at IMPGT could be summed up in a few words: development of critical thinking. I enjoyed the theoretical lectures accompanied by practical tutorials. The IMPGT makes it possible to integrate the L2 or L3, on file, after an OTC. You will have to acculturate yourself with public management but you can count on the support of the institute. After the IMPGT, I did a Master 2 in law in a field that I am passionate about. Today, I would like to join the Air Force as a doctoral officer.
After 3 years of bachelor's degree at IMPGT, I entered the master's degree in Public Policy at Sciences Po Paris. The compulsory internships each year are the most at the IMPGT: I discarded my initial professional project in L1, I discovered the current one in L2 and I consolidated it in L3. In your studies, don't be afraid to make a mistake: you will be able to change direction. The Licence of the IMPGT offers you for that many outlets, and an accompaniment of proximity with the teachers to direct you.
