  • Initial training - continuing education

Training presentation

Faced with the complexity and challenges facing the contemporary music industry, the OTACC Chair and IMPGT are developing a post-graduate diploma (DESU) in entrepreneurship and management applied to the specific characteristics of the industry's organizations.

This specialized diploma is designed above all to train professionals who wish to move into positions of service management or venue management.

This action/operation is part of the FICCTION project, led by the CMQe Industries Culturelles et Créatives Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, supported as part of the AMI "Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir" of the France2030 program operated by the Groupe Caisse des Dépôts, the Banque des Territoires and the Région Sud - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

  • Objectives

    - Make up for the lack of specialized training in entrepreneurship and management for contemporary music. The DESU is designed to meet the need for training personnel who are competent in the contemporary music sector.

    - It will make it easier for young graduates to take up new management positions, or enable existing managers to put their practices into perspective by reinforcing their skills in the fundamental areas of management and law. Training must therefore be in touch with those working in the field.

    - Develop the versatility of DESU students in managing societal transition projects. The skills developed must be both cross-disciplinary (ticketing, communication, production, programming, cultural action, etc.) and managerial (law, labor relations, management (executive management), accounting, governance issues (private/public)).

    - Strengthen the entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial, social and solidarity-based approach within the contemporary music sector, by training in inclusive governance mechanisms and experimenting with inclusive management spaces, practices and tools.

    - Encourage peer-to-peer transmission and promote professional solidarity within the industry by encouraging the exchange of practices between professionals during this university training course.

    - Strengthen inter-sector links (live music - health - tourism - sport, etc.).
