From October 16 to 18, 2024, 70 students in the Master 2 Public Management program at IMPGT took part in the Art Thinking Seminar: Improbable. They explored the improbable in the manner of artists, using a creative approach to help them think differently about public action.
For three days, lectures, workshops and critique sessions followed one another, enabling the students to design contemporary artworks that made full sense to them. In all, 15 works were created and presented at an ephemeral exhibition at Le Cube (Aix-Marseille Université) in Aix-en-Provence. Much more than mere aesthetic objects, these creations embodied a veritable "visual thought", questioning and reinventing public action from an unprecedented perspective.
For the occasion, the students benefited from the support of artists and teachers such as Céline Du Boys, Anaïs Saint Jonsson, Nil Samar, Sarah Serval, Florence Tadjeddine and Pierre Tectin.
Well done to all our students for their creativity, and to the speakers for their expertise and guidance!
This innovative seminar was co-founded by Sylvain Bureau, PhD from Ecole Polytechnique and professor at ESCP, and Pierre Tectin, visual artist and artistic director of Art Thinking Network. The IMPGT is the first French university to organize it, starting in 2023.
