Students in the Master’s program in Public Management, specializing in Security and Territorial Management (SMT), participated in an educational field trip to Carcassonne focused on the management of the Ribaute mega-fire.
Working closely with first responders on the ground, the day featured concrete insights into crisis management. This allowed students to deepen their understanding of operational procedures and crisis coordination strategies.
Two highlights marked this immersive experience: a detailed debriefing at SDIS 11 on the fire’s management, as well as discussions at the Departmental Operations Center (COD) with the SIDPC, the National Gendarmerie, and local authorities.
