Master 2 MCP: 48 hours to complete a pro challenge in collaboration with Accélérateur M.

April 17, 2023

As part of their training, students in the Master 2 Public Management course in Public Marketing and Communication had the opportunity to test their creativity during a 48-hour challenge, organized in collaboration with Accélérateur M, the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area's startup gas pedal.

A real challenge for the students, this exercise aimed to encourage ideation, in order to give birth to ideas and solutions on a central theme: improving the anchoring and ecosystem synergies on the territory of Aix-Marseille Provence Métropole.

Coached by professionals, with semi-structured interviews, the design of an action plan and the use of marketing tools, the students put all their theoretical knowledge into practice and responded as a team to the four proposed guidelines:

  • Attract student entrepreneurs by identifying potential obstacles to integration into the ecosystem
  • Attract African entrepreneurs by analyzing what the region has to offer
  • Bring together public players and support structures via a collaborative mechanism
  • Evaluate existing local solutions and the conditions for replicability.

The teams were able to present the results of their work to a panel of judges made up of Franck Araujo, director of the host organization, and Christophe Alaux and Sarah Serval, the course's pedagogical managers.

These 48 hours were a real experience that enabled the students to understand the realities of the professional world, while assessing their skills just a few months away from acquiring their diploma.

A big thank you to the structures and professionals who took part in this educational project!

The project was piloted by Nadia Boulmakoul, a doctoral student in management science whose research focuses on the role of start-up incubators and gas pedals in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and by Christophe Alaux and Sarah Serval, the course's pedagogical managers.
