Journées Culturelles 2023: the cultural revolution

May 26, 2023

From May 9 to 12, 2023, the Cultural Days of the IMPGT's OTACC Chair took place, with workshops led by second-year students in the MDOMC Master's program (Management and Law of Cultural Organizations and Events). This year, the event was held at the 6MIC concert hall in Aix-en-Provence.

The Journées Culturelles kicked off with a time dedicated to partners, during which Edina Soldo and Djelloul Arezki presented the results of studies on societal transitions in the contemporary music sector carried out by Master 2 (MDOMC) students the previous year.

For this third edition, the event brought together between 150 and 200 professionals and students from the cultural sector each day to tackle a multitude of issues linked to inclusion. Some thirty cultural operators came to represent their structures and discuss actions, tools and processes aimed at adapting to current transitions.

From welcoming migrant artists to France, to solutions for making cultural offerings accessible to the disabled, to culture as a lever for rural development and attractiveness. A wide range of social issues enabled the professionals in attendance to question and discuss their managerial practices. These meetings also enabled them to forge links and initiate future collaborations between professionals, students and university structures.

These three convivial days of reflexivity were punctuated by cultural highlights, with a young talent scene proposed by students as part of an event combining innovative artistic practices and ecology. Finally, the Cultural Days concluded with a musical performance by artists from Parea Production, a booking structure created by IMPGT ALUMNI via the OTACC Chair incubator in 2021.
