Every year, the IMPGT welcomes international students to its programs, from Bachelor's degrees to doctorates, as part of exchange programs or as independent candidates.
In addition, the Aix-Marseille Université International Relations Department orchestrates a series of welcome activities to ensure the smooth integration of international students. In particular, all new students arriving from outside Europe are required to go through the international student reception desk.
Before you can take part in an exchange program at the IMPGT, you need to make sure that there is an agreement between your home university and the IMPGT (Aix-Marseille Université). Then, you must first be selected by your home university to take part in one of the exchange programs. Please contact your university's international relations department.
Once your home university has selected you, your international relations department will forward your application to us.
At the IMPGT, all courses are taught in French. A minimum level of B2 is required.

As part of your international mobility, you may be eligible for several scholarships:
Eiffel Scholarship : The Eiffel Scholarship is a scholarship for excellence at Master's and Doctorate levels in Law and Political Science, Economics and Management and Science. Foreign students wishing to apply for an Eiffel scholarship should not do so directly, but through the French university in which they wish to enroll. The application is submitted by the Master's supervisor or thesis director.
AUF scholarship: The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie's mobility assistance programs are aimed at Master's and PhD students in disciplines related to the development priorities of the country of origin. Calls for proposals are published by the regional offices, each of which may have different application procedures.
Other scholarships: As an international student, you may also be eligible for other scholarships depending on your nationality, level and field of study, etc.
TIGER TFR scholarship: Aix Marseille Université has made international mobility and welcoming international students a pillar of its attractiveness policy. It has set up a unique system of scholarships to finance excellent profiles from all over the world, enabling them to join the ranks of our university. The Master's degree in Public Management has been awarded the France 2030 TIGER MSE&C PLUS "Employability" label. As such, it can award one or two annual scholarships (1st and 2nd year) to excellent candidates from IMPGT partner universities and other universities around the world.
To improve the reception of international students (living abroad) outside exchange programs, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has created the Centres pour les Études en France (CEF).
If you live in one of the countries covered by the dematerialized "Études en France" procedure, you must follow the Études en France procedure to apply. This entirely paperless procedure handles all the steps involved in registering with a higher education establishment, right up to the visa application.
If you are a European applicant, you must use the E-candidat application platform.
All courses at the IMPGT are taught in French, with a B2 level required for bachelor's degrees and C1 for master's degrees.
